Why Post Malone Thinks It Would "Suck" to Be Taylor Swift or Beyoncé

Post Malone knows the promise to be dazzling is a lot to bear.
The "Sunflower" rapper recently teamed up with Taylor Swift for her single "Fortnight" off The Tortured Poets Department, and with Beyoncé on the Cowboy Carter track "Levii's Jeans," which means he had an up close look at what life is like really like for the superstars.
"I can't even imagine being at their level," he told The New York Times in an interview published Aug. 8. "It must suck."
And while filming Taylor's "Fortnight" music video, the 29-year-old (real name Austin Post) witnessed all the hoops she had to jump through, including the need for "an umbrella and drapes over the golf cart so drones and a helicopter couldn't get footage."
He added, "That's so much pressure."
And while working with Beyoncé, details of her country album were so under lock and key that the two never actually met in person. Instead, a representative brought the track to Post's compound in Utah, and he and the Destiny's Child alum communicated largely through text messages.
As Post joked, "It was terrifying."
But overall, the Grammy nominee was thrilled to work with Taylor and Beyoncé, telling the Times he was "just honored to be in these people's vicinity."
And while he might not be ready for that level of fame just yet, the "Circles" singer is ready to keep enjoying life with his fiancée and 2-year-old daughter.
"It changes your life in the best way ever," Post gushed about being a dad during CBS Sunday Morning Aug. 11. "And the most beautiful thing is, she has a beautiful mom."
Post—who has not publicly shared the name of his partner or daughter—is thankful for the positive impact they've had on his life.
"Four years ago, I was on a rough path," he explained, adding his daily routine used to include a good cry and drinking. "It was terrible. I don't feel like that anymore and it's the most amazing thing ever."
